Hello. Today I want to show you another daily mini project. Each dental unit is made of hundreds of pieces. If we consider the variety of models and manufacturers, there are countless parts that can not be found to purchase separately. In addition, many devices and equipment are made in China and do not have a technical number. So when a piece breaks or gets lost, it can be difficult to replace.
We went to repair a dental unit that had various problems, one of which was this fracture of the base of the suction instrument. That was all I had when I started repairing the base.
Parts of this base were missing, making modeling difficult. It was so grimy that even if it was intact, I really wanted to make the replacement.
This image is the final 3D modeling. Comparing to the original part, you can see that edges were broken and missing, which made this modeling very difficult. The next part was an activation key that, when you lift the suction instrument, closes a circuit to activate the instrument. Finally, this is the result, trim and clean.
