Eccentric mount for dc motor


 


 

Hello. This is a simple mini project to adjust the center distance. I use this idea when I use a belt or gear in a design. I got the main idea of ​​this from the eccentric spacer, and the advantage  is the continuous adjustment of the distance, in which causes good accuracy and good final strength. As you can see, the idea is very simple. The motor is housed inside an eccentric spacer that can be rotated and adjusted. After adjusting by tightening the set screw, everything will be tightened in place. This simple project was designed by SolidWorks.
Note: To tighten the set screw, I tapped the printed piece. Note that this technique is practical and will simplify your design.There is no need for over tightening set screw.
